Aspire Booster Club Meeting Minutes

Attendees: Bev Parkerson, Jocelyn Moore, Annie Fuentes, Jill Witt, Brian Sloan, Scott Gilman, Kimberly Gilman, Kelly Keown, Leslie Urhahn, Ann Mizelle, Kristi Mead, Denise McDonald

Meeting called to order at 11:08 am

April minutes approved

June Mandatory Meeting:

· Board will be updating the information

· Sign in sheet/ and member fee will be due June 15^th

· There will be a complete breakdown of financials and of meets

· Everyone will know what is due

· Statements will reflect what fees go to what meets

· Meet fees will be billed ahead, so they can be planned better

· An accountant will do a 3^rd party audit of the ABC

· 501 3 c Official by June 1^st (hopefully)

Board Members are as follows:

· Denise McDonald – Pres

· Gidget Hagenberger – VP

· Kristi Mead – Sec

· Betsy Braulich – Tres

· Bev Parkerson – 1^st Member at large & Asst Treasurer

· ____________ - Parent Team Coordinator

Funds Dispersed:

· General Fund will be dispersed quarterly. Meet monies will be dispersed next season within 30 days.

· Aspire DID NOT get to host the State Competition. The ABC is keeping the $5000 for future bids for states.

Fund raising:

· Open gym 4 a season; spring, Winter & Fall. Summer isn’t a good time for open gym, attendance is generally low.

· Will need a fundraising committee, sign ups in June meeting. Would like to have a point person for each fundraiser.

· Goal: fewer fundraisers make more money!

· Ideas are needed!

· Swan’s will come once a month. If revenue is up they will come twice a month.

· We get 10% for the firs $250, and 15 % for $250-$2500

· With Swan’s, ABC made $250 on the 18^th.

· Fireworks:

· Thinking about hosting a fireworks stand.

· Crazy Debbie’s out of MO has a program that we are looking into to take some of the risk off of the club.

· If we don’t get it set for this year, we will be working on it for next.

Parents will be voting on budget in the June meeting.

Treasurer will be in attendance for questions at the June meeting.

Next meeting is June 5, 2009. This is the mandatory meeting for all who want to be a member of the Aspire Booster Club. Meeting starts at 7pm.
